what if the deceased don’t want to talk

Posted by Gretchen on October 16th, 2009

I average two readings a week. This past year I have had three “misses”: three deceased people that did not come through for their loved ones. I always feel bad for my clients when this happens as we irrationally feel rejected by the one who dies as part of the anger of grief.  So here is another disappointment added to that when a medium fails. One was a mother of the living client who had transitioned just a month before, another, as my living client described her husband, was an introverted man after I had spent more than an hour trying to reach him, and the third was inexplicable, perhaps she simply did not believe, even from the other side, that the veil was breach able.

Medium bashing

Posted by Gretchen on October 9th, 2009

A friend recently sent me a series of you tube links bashing Sylvia Brown and James Van Praagh.  It made me wonder who was taking the time to do such slick psychic bashing. I don’t advertise that I guarantee my work, but I do. My mission is to work with grieving people, not folks who want to be entertained or want me to work just to prove the afterlife exists. I think it would be the worst kind of scam to take advantage of people who are grieving,  but I do reserve the right to pick and choose who I work for in the meditations.

How to stay dead

Posted by Gretchen on October 7th, 2009

I went to a lecture on the Hindu religion and the talk was about the state of advancement and purification that would enable a human to be released from the necessity of reincarnation. The summary was that the Hindu are essentially seeking a way of staying dead- well staying in heaven is a Christian goal as well. In my book I talk about the goal of ascension, where we return to God/Source where we will be in a state of blissful unification. Maybe the name of my next book should be: how to we get to stay dead… possibly if we learn all we can, do our best, strive for excellence and seek our most personal of truths we can reach that goal.

deceased in groups

Posted by Gretchen on October 1st, 2009

I am encountering more groups the longer I practice medium ship. Several times now I have reached teenagers who talk about being in a group learning scenario near the earth with other deceased teens, and they learn and help each other. Recently I met a deceased couple, parents of my living client, who are helping older people who die with no beliefs in the afterlife adjust and get started. It is most reassuring that there are all those on the other side of the veil that are helping.
